The following are considered “maximal continuous strength exercises”: chin-ups, pull-ups, dips, push-ups, pull-ups, squatting over an obstacle or a ladder, military push-ups, military sit up over an obstacle or a ladder, and various push-button pushes for each component. The test may be timed. Permissible Tests : A unit may perform any of the following, regardless of what is being tested: 1/2-mile run, 5-mile run, military sit-up, military push-ups, military sit-up over an obstacle or a ladder, 2 miles run. All units are evaluated on a 5-mile run, a military push-up test or military sit-up test. Maximum allowable is 80% of the maximum score in the unit's specific component.
